National Philanthropy Week:
Building Fundraising Resilience to Spark Change
November 16 – 20, 2020
2020 has continued to provide unique challenges and opportunities for all of us in the nonprofit sector. As it has been an amazingly challenging year, we concluded that instead of one day, we needed a whole week to celebrate the resilience, grace, and spirit of our fundraising community.
After much discussion and thoughtful deliberation, we decided to not give awards this year. 2020 has been a year of reflection and re-examination of values for all of us. It didn’t seem right to call out and award certain people and organizations while the entire philanthropic community has been working so hard.
While we are always grateful for the generosity of local philanthropists and philanthropic organizations, this year we are going to celebrate fundraisers and their extraordinary efforts to continue to fulfill their organizational missions during a global pandemic. 2020 has made us appreciate the hard work that we as fundraisers do.
In future years, we will again honor philanthropists with specific awards for their incredible support of our community.
National Philanthropy Week is 100 percent FREE for the entire community!
Mark your calendar for the whole week, and please reserve time for Zoom panels on Tuesday, November 17 and Thursday, November 19 from 4:00 -5:00 pm.
