Are you familiar with Community-Centric Fundraising? CCF is a fundraising model that is grounded in equity and social justice and also a movement to evolve how fundraising is done in the nonprofit sector. Its goal is to support fundraisers and other nonprofit professionals to re-examine every fundraising philosophy and practice they have been taught, engage in vigorous ongoing conversations, and explore doing fundraising in ways that reduce harm and further social justice.
Erika Chen, AFP Advancement Northwest Vice President of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access (DEIA) and founding member of the Community-Centric Fundraising movement, designed this session and will take you through:
  • An introduction to Community-Centric Fundraising as a movement, its purpose, and the 10 guiding principles
  • Building connection and trust with other nonprofit professionals, reminding ourselves that we are all on a learning journey
  • Looking at what we need to stop doing in order to start being more community-centric
  • Making space for innovation and lay the ground for creative destruction
