Maximizing Special Events – Beyond Gross Revenue 

Let’s talk about how to maximize all the time and effort you put into each event to extend them to serving as cultivation tools for returning and major donors. Whether you are in a large or small organization, there will be common ground for us to talk about.

Facilitator: Kirk Laughlin

BIO: Kirk W. Laughlin is the Director of Advancement at the Academy for Precision Learning (APL) in Seattle, WA, a K-12 school focusing on the success of students on the autism spectrum & their typically developing peers. He holds a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Leadership from Seattle University and has been a nonprofit professional for over 20 years, working in the areas of fundraising, community relations and government affairs for education, human services and disability-focused organizations. In addition to APL, he’s worked for Seattle Children’s Museum, The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc., Youth Eastside Services and Pacific Science Center.

He has been a recurring speaker over the past five years at events such as the AFP International Conference on Fundraising, AFP Advancement Northwest’s monthly programs, the AFP Forum on Strategic Fundraising, Washington Nonprofits’ Annual Conference, and 1st Security’s 2018 Nonprofit Expo. Kirk served on the AFP Advancement Northwest Board for nine years.
