Thursday, April 23 Online via Zoom 12:00 pm- 1:30 pm

Cultivating the core muscle of listening is vital to our donor relationships, to the health of our nonprofit organizations, and to our fundraising community. In this time of increased isolation, a welcoming, supportive presence makes a significant impact.

What keeps us from listening with our full selves? How can we strengthen our skills in listening and presence? This online lunchtime session will be an interactive and engaging learning opportunity for everyone who could use help centering and focusing ourselves.

Our learning objectives for the session are:

1. Experience meaningful connections virtually using the breakout rooms in Zoom
2. Explore how we create conditions where good listening more readily occurs
3. Reflect on and discuss why good listening matters in donor relationships
4. Create small yet effective steps towards cultivating the core skills of listening

Our speakers are Peter Drury, Chief Strategy Officer for Wellspring Family Services, who believes listening is a crucial leadership competency, and David Westerlund, consultant and facilitator at Be Present, Discover Joy, who helps organizations unlock latent resources by amplifying their collaborative capacity.
