I’m honored to have been chosen to receive a 2023 scholarship membership with AFP (AFP NW). The conferences and events I’ve been able to attend have uplifted my view of philanthropy and fundraising. AFP has made me even more proud to fundraise for various causes that help my surrounding communities. Along with the chance to network and listen to speakers with varying experiences of the fundraising world, I’ve gained a lot of great resources, tips, and strategies through the complimentary webinars provided. My year long scholarship has helped me gain a lot of insight into my own work and the development/fundraising community I can call myself a part of. The last thing I’ll say is that I’ve always been part of a small team in my four years of development experience. It’s a lovely feeling to see and hear from so many people with the same job! I’m very grateful I received a scholarship. I’ll carry the experience with me for a long while.
