The Micro-Mastermind Framework
Have you ever participated in a mastermind group? Think of a group of 5-6 individuals who meet regularly over time to share knowledge, encourage and motivate each other, and hold each other accountable for achieving their goals.
Now imagine a micro-mastermind group: It’s a shorter and more focused version of a full-scale mastermind group. This bite-size experience is cute, fast, and leads to immediate learning! By participating, you’ll have the chance to receive and offer perspectives, knowledge, experience, and resources to your peers. This peer-to-peer support will help you discover new solutions, identify
patterns, and refine your ideas.
Here are some suggestions to help you make the most out of this experience:
1. Before the session, think about two professional challenges or goals that are currently relevant to you. Take note of key issues you wish to address. Your topics could include anything you are currently working on, such as marketing, coaching, technical or technique issues, processes, business, networks, and more.
2. Explore your challenges/obstacles/goals using these prompts:This challenge feels complex because… Some things I’ve tried or I’m thinking about trying… What I’d love help with, specifically, is…
3. Be ready to verbally describe your challenge in two minutes or less.
This session is built around dynamic and rapid round-robin reciprocal peer “consultations.” Approach this experience with an open mind and a willingness to both give and receive feedback.
What’s amazing about the micro-mastermind experience is that the feedback you receive is offered generously and without bias, so you can move forward with fresh perspectives, innovative disruptors, and renewed energy.
This session is inspired by the Liberating Structure approach which includes and engages every voice in shaping the future.
