Join us for a positive & inspiring evening at the

Sea Mar Museum of Chicano/a/Latino/a Culture

9635 Des Moines Memorial Dr, Seattle, WA

November 8, 4:30-8:00 pm

The past few years have sharpened our understanding of the needs of the communities we serve, and given us ample opportunity to consider how we meet those needs. On November 8, 2023, we will gather as community leaders to examine the power of philanthropy to drive conversation and change in our world, and how we can feed our hope and optimism even as threats to a better world intensify. Our program will feature an open and candid conversation between dynamic practitioners who offer reality, clarity, and hope. We will share insights on increasing organizational impact, lifting up diverse voices, and celebrating our successes, even as we work to dismantle entrenched systemic challenges. We will present two National Philanthropy Day Awards to professionals in our community who exemplify excellence in development work at the celebration.

National Philanthropy Day Awards

The goal of AFP Advancement Northwest’s National Philanthropy Day Celebration is to highlight the meaningful work of fundraisers in our region and to shine a light on those who are centering community-based development work at their nonprofit organizations.

At the November 8, 2023 National Philanthropy Day (NPD) event we will be presenting two awards to professionals in our community that are exemplifying excellence in development work.

The Rising Star Award recognizes an outstanding fundraiser who is new (1-5 years) to the profession and displays excellence in general fundraising skills and dedication to the sector through collaborations, community building and inspiring others.

The Mentor Award honors an outstanding fundraiser who has a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience and a demonstrated commitment to mentoring, training, inspiring, and guiding others in developing fundraising and leadership skills. Nominees must be a current Washington or Oregon resident.

Nominations closed on October 9, 2023.
