Director of Development
Benefits Law Center
Shannon Wong joined the Benefits Law Center in 2018 and currently serves as the
Director of Development. She holds a bachelors degree from the University of
Washington and currently serves on Advancement Northwest’s Diversity, Equity,
Inclusion and Access (DEIA) committee.
While attending the University of Washington, Shannon developed a passion for
learning more about economic inequality, the intersection of poverty and
incarceration and avenues to pursue criminal justice reform. Prior to her role at the
Benefits Law Center, Shannon developed a love and desire to help people living in
vulnerable populations while spending over five years volunteering for the Seattle
Red Cross of King & Kitsap County.
Outside of work, Shannon is a dedicated community volunteer with a passion for
cooking, Seattle sports teams, and the outdoors. She dedicates her time
volunteering in her community, and uses her Sociology degree to advocate for social
justice, poverty alleviation and criminal justice reform.
